Cynthia Anderson, MD, has a longstanding passion for providing care to cancer patients. She served as the Chief Resident for her program and continues to do research, publish and serve her community both in and out of medicine. Her areas of expertise are:

About Me

I grew up in Jacksonville, graduating from the Bolles School and returned after completing my training in oncology. My husband, daughter, son and I enjoy traveling around the world. Locally, we raise butterflies and are engaged in saving our beautiful St. Johns River.

My philosophy is to be a compassionate listener for my patients. I am here to walk the journey with them and make them feel more knowledgeable about their diagnosis and options

I give back to the community in several ways. I co-founded the Pink Ribbon Symposium, a breast cancer non-profit educational group and volunteer with Buddy Check 12 as a social media administrator. I am also actively involved in my children’s schools and in educating the local youth about making healthy choices. At Baptist, I serve on the Women in Medicine Board and additionally serve on the Duval County Medical Society, Florida Medical Association and the Indo-American Medical Association
