About Me

I was born in Jacksonville at Baptist Memorial Hospital, as was my wife and our daughter. I am honored to have the opportunity to return to and work in my hometown. We have five children and love doing things around our neighborhood and town. When I get the chance, I love to run as a stress reliever and a way to maintain balance. We enjoy spending time with friends and family, and inviting people into our home and lives. We love being outdoors, and although we have only begun to re-explore this with young children, we love to backpack, hike and spend time on the rivers of northern Florida.

I consider it an honor to care for those with cancer and blood disorders. Receiving a life-threatening medical diagnosis is probably the most terrifying, sobering, and life-changing event that a person will ever go through. From the anxiety around the diagnosis, to making what feels like impossible choices about treatment, to coping with and managing symptoms, every aspect of the experience is a new challenge. My life is enriched by being part of a team that finds joy and satisfaction in walking with people during these incredibly trying times.
