George Filosa, MD

Dr. Filosa is a board-certified colon and rectal surgeon and general surgeon, specializing in minimally invasive approaches to colon and rectal cancer, as well as benign disease of the anus, colon and rectum. Dr. Filosa is passionate about surgical education. He was recognized as an educator and served as academic chief resident at his training institution for two years. About Me

I am originally from Hollywood, Florida, and I am excited about the opportunity to become part of the community here in Jacksonville. My wife and I have two children, and we enjoy biking, cooking and playing tennis together. We also enjoy watching sporting events together.

My philosophy of care is to provide excellent, patient-centered care with a focus on education. With each unique issue, it is important to keep in mind that I am treating a unique person.
