John Han, MD, a fellow of the American College of Physicians, has specialized in Infectious Diseases for the past 21 years. About Me

I have spent the past 17 years in private practice in Florida, and my wife and I enjoy playing golf and traveling to new places.

As a child growing up in my native country of Myanmar (Burma), I was often treated by a family physician who was a colleague of my parents. His calm and reassuring demeanor inspired me to pursue medicine and ultimately to become a doctor who makes people feel better and whole again.

I came to the U.S. in 1992 at the peak of HIV epidemics when people were constantly dying due to lack of effective treatment. During my Infectious Diseases fellowship, my program director was on the front-lines fighting AIDS utilizing multiple research protocols. He taught me how to solve the mysteries of infection through thorough work-ups and attention to details.
