Diana Mercado, MD, is a board-certified infectious disease specialist, who initially trained in both internal medicine and pediatrics but chose to focus in adult care during her fellowship. She has been in practice for over a decade and enjoys seeing a variety of patients in both the hospital and clinic settings. Her areas of expertise include:

About Me

I was born and raised in the Philippines where my love of infectious diseases started and was nurtured as I went through my journey to become a physician. I moved to Jacksonville in 2010 after completing residency and fellowship training in Philadelphia and consider this my home now. I enjoy time spent with my family and friends, travel, good cuisine, reading and playing the piano.

I believe in the preventive approach to health care and try to incorporate this into my everyday practice. I strive to always be a good advocate for my patients and make sure our relationship is that of a partnership where treatment decisions are made together, based on mutual trust and open communication to ensure the best possible care.
