About Me
I moved to Jacksonville from Chicago to be closer to family, slow things down a bit and get out of the cold. In my free time, I enjoy quality time with my family and friends, hiking, volunteering, fitness, going to the movies and reading a good book. I started my career working at community service organizations with clients with chronic mental health and medical issues, and as a Psychosocial Program Manager had to pleasure of doing individual therapy, psychoeducational and therapeutic groups and community outreach.
My therapeutic style involves providing safety first, person-centered therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, solution-focused therapy and skill-building and coping interventions to provide tangible tools to cope. I believe everyone wants to be heard, to be understood, to be validated and to feel like they matter. I believe that everyone has an inner capacity for healing and it is my job to nurture that innate ability to increase growth and self-fulfillment.
