About Me

I met my wife, a Fernandina Beach native, in college and I’ve had strong ties to North Florida ever since. We have three children, so there is never a dull moment in our house.

As a physician who has had family members affected by heart disease, I seek to treat every patient just like I want my family to be treated. I believe that physicians are responsible for effectively communicating with their patients so that complicated medical problems can be understood clearly because the best care occurs when the doctor and the patient are seeing eye to eye.

Medical mission work is one of my passions and a huge reason behind my decision to become a physician. Since 2000, I have been involved with multiple teams treating patients at six different sites in three different countries. I hope to expand my involvement in medical missions as my career progresses.

When I am not in the office, I enjoy the beach, being involved with our local church, watching football, exercising, fishing, or losing golf balls.
