Alison Bartfield, MD

Medical Director, Senior Strategy

Alison Bartfield, DO, is the medical director of senior strategy for Baptist Health. Board-certified in internal medicine, she has practiced as a hospital-based physician since 1998 and a practicing hospitalist with Baptist Health since 2002. A two-time graduate of the University of Florida, Dr. Bartfield earned a Bachelor of Sciences in Biochemistry in 1991 followed by a Doctorate of Medicine in 1995. She has served as a primary care physician, founder and lead physician of the Baptist Beaches hospitalist team, the Baptist South hospitalist team, founder of the HouseCalls program, medical director for Baptist Home Health and interim chief quality officer for Baptist Health. Dr. Bartfield is proud to provide continuity of care for seniors in her role at AgeWell. She has been recognized by the medical staff as a champion for patient safety, winning the Spirit of Magnet Award and the Caring Award for Service by We Care for her advocacy and care of underserved patients in Jacksonville.
