Myint Thway, MD

Myint Myat Thway, MD, is a board-certified internal medicine physician and rheumatologist. She received her medical education from The Institute of Medicine, Yangon, Myanmar. She completed her internal medicine residency at the Lutheran Medical Center in Brooklyn, New York. Dr. Thway was a faculty of internal medicine before she pursued her rheumatology fellowship at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine. She is a fellow of the American College of Rheumatology. She is experienced in treating a wide range of systemic autoimmune diseases, including systemic lupus erythematosus, rheumatoid arthritis, psoriatic arthritis, scleroderma and Sjogren’s syndrome, and has a particular interest in maternal care of autoimmune disorders. She prides herself in taking the time to listen to her patients and provide passionate care with integration and collaboration with colleagues. Her areas of expertise include:
