About Me

After graduating with a BA in Psychology from New York University in 2004, I worked for several years as a research assistant at the New York State Psychiatric Institute. Later, in 2012, I earned a PhD in Clinical Psychology from St. John’s University. After completing both research and clinical fellowships in New York City, my family and I moved to Northeast Florida where I am excited to provide psychotherapy to children, adolescents, adults, and families. In my work as a clinical psychologist, I specialize in providing cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT). For the past few years, I have been incorporating mindfulness into therapy and developing skills in acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT). Through psychotherapy, I have helped many people to address a wide range of problems, including depression, anxiety, emotion dysregulation, obsessions and compulsions, panic, trauma, and difficulties in socializing and communicating.

I am also experienced in working with individuals affected by schizophrenia, as well as their families. Always collaborative, my approach to therapy is informed by the uniqueness of each person and their experiences in context, while at the same time employing the treatments that research suggests are the most effective. I think that the decision to try psychotherapy is an extremely brave one, and I am always in awe of people's ability to change and to cope. It is an honor to work with that process, and that privilege is something I try to never lose sight of.

A native New Yorker, I am enjoying the sunshine and beaches of Northeast Florida with my family. I am hopeful that I can give back to my new community through my professional work as well as through outreach and volunteer opportunities.
