Mark Floyd, MD, FAAOS, MBA

Mark Floyd, MD, FAAOS, MBA, a native of Chatsworth, Georgia, has dedicated his career to helping patients regain strength, mobility, and confidence. After completing his surgical training, he spent more than a decade serving the patients of northwest Georgia as an orthopedic surgeon at the Harbin Clinic in Rome. He treats patients ages 12 and up. Though formally trained in sports medicine and arthroscopy, he cares for patients with a broad range of orthopedic injuries and conditions, from high-level athletes to weekend warriors and even silver-sneaker gardeners. Before recommending surgery Dr. Floyd emphasizes exploring non-operative treatments whenever possible, believing that healing can often be achieved through less invasive means. About Me

In 2025, my wife, children and I moved to Fernandina Beach, Florida, where I joined Dovetail Orthopedics after being recruited by my former residency mentor, Dr. Robert Santrock. Together, we joined the Baptist Orthopedics' team to expand access to high-quality orthopedic care on Amelia Island.

Outside of work, I enjoy volunteering as a youth sports coach for both boys’ and girls’ teams across various sports and seasons. From 2023 to 2025, I also served as the assistant middle school baseball coach at the Darlington School. In my free time, I like to golf, play pickleball and hunt.
