Brett P. Frykberg, MD, trained at the number one hospital for joint replacement in the world. During his fellowship, Dr. Frykberg became interested in hip disease in active young adults. About Me

Having grown up and completed my residency in Jacksonville, I am glad to be back home serving the people of our city once again. My wife, Mandy, and son, Knox, are the miracles in my life and they too are enjoying the warm weather and family atmosphere we had grown accustomed to prior to my fellowship year in NYC.

I maintain a patient-centered and team approach to care in my practice. I truly believe in treating my patients as though they were my own family. I want my patients to be an integral part of their own care which helps to develop our doctor-patient relationship and provides a platform to make educated decisions regarding their future care. It is a privilege to be able to give back the active lifestyle my patients may have lost with the presence of hip and knee arthritis. It is my passion to be able to create a dynamic experience between the patient and myself, facilitating an easy transition through surgical treatment and into a new, more active lifestyle.

I am truly blessed to be able to serve in the community in which I grew up. I continue to embed my services in the community as a volunteer helping to cover high school sports. I offer some of the most advanced technologies available to treat hip and knee arthritis. I am excited to be on the forefront of these treatments and bring them to Jacksonville Orthopaedic Institute and Baptist Health.
