Casey Bonaquist, DO

Casey Bonaquist, DO, serves as the medical director of Baptist Health’s first medical weight loss program, Baptist Metabolic Weight Loss Clinic, and she practices at our Pavilion and Nocatee locations. Dr. Bonaquist is a board-certified obesity and family medicine physician who treats patients ages 18 and up. She began her career with Baptist Health in 2016 at Baptist Primary Care as a family medicine physician. Following her passion for providing effective, evidence-based care to patients struggling with weight gain and obesity in a comfortable and welcoming environment, Dr. Bonaquist stepped away from her primary care practice at the end of 2024 to focus on launching Baptist Health’s first Metabolic Weight Loss Clinic. Dr. Bonaquist and the metabolic weight loss team are dedicated to supporting patients through their journey of self-transformation. She always prioritizes fostering a relationship-centered approach by partnering with her patients. Her areas of expertise include:

About Me

I grew up in a small town in Pennsylvania and appreciate the sense of community I find everyday living in the area. As the parents of three young children, my husband and I enjoy traveling, bike riding and many of the family-friendly activities in Nocatee. I value staying healthy by cooking meals at home and exercising at the local YMCA.

My philosophy of care is to form compassionate relationships with patients to help them achieve their health goals. I utilize evidence-based approaches to deliver comprehensive weight management treatments. I support patients in removing barriers to their health and continue to be amazed at how the changes impact their engagement in life.

I am an advocate for persons with overweight and obesity by regularly teaching other physicians through continuing medical education, delivering lectures to the community, writing articles on the subject and supporting obesity treatment coverage.
