John Whalen, DO

John Whalen, DO, is a board-certified neurologist and is pending certification for epilepsy. He treats patients ages 18 and up. He has experience in physical therapy as a physical therapy assistant as well as experience with Rock Steady Boxing for Parkinson’s disease. Originally from Long Island, New York, Dr. Whalen moved to North Florida in 2024 but was raised in a proud Florida Gator family. With a passion for sports, fishing and hiking, he enjoys staying active both personally and professionally. His approach to care focuses on treating the whole person, not just the medical condition, and he believes that patient and family education is just as important as treatment.
