John "Ray" Pinkston, MD, is a dual board-certified emergency medicine and internal medicine physician who has been practicing for over two decades. He has been previously appointed to the board of directors at Sumner Regional Medical Center and has served in academic roles at the Vanderbilt University Medical Center and at Lincoln Memorial University. About Me

While not a true "Jacksonville native", I have always considered this area to be my home away from home. Recently moving to Fernandina from Tenessee, I am looking forward to enjoying the Florida Sunshine and the community that comes with living in a small coastal city.

My philosophy of care is to work with each patient holistically, taking the whole person, mind, spirit and body, into consideration. I enjoy creating holistic care plans individualized to each patient that incorporate the preventive care and lifestyle changes that will help my patients reach their specific health goals. As a family medicine physician, my main goal is to improve my patient's health and well-being so they may better enjoy their life.
