Prasuna Jami, MD, is a board-certified and fellowship-trained physician with more than 25 years of experience in both internal medicine and endocrinology. A former assistant professor, Dr. Jami believes in teaching patients about their endocrine issues, individualizing treatment plans to their lifestyle and incorporating non-pharmacological care into her medical management. About Me

After practicing for more than a decade as an endocrinologist in West Virginia, I moved to Jacksonville to be closer to my family. My husband and I enjoy traveling and trying out new types of foods. I love cooking and creating healthy recipes with my daughter, a cancer physician, and volunteering in soup kitchens with my husband.

I strongly believe that one way to empower our current and future generations is to focus on a healthy life through education, diet and realistic lifestyle modifications.

I am passionate about giving back to my community. I have spoken at churches and community centers on lifestyle modifications to prevent diabetes and hope to do the same in Jacksonville.
