About Me

It hurts me when I see a patient who just had a heart attack and learn that they had no idea they were at risk. Many aspects of heart disease are preventable and with early screening education and lifestyle changes, things could have been very different for that patient.

Education and awareness are key to prevention. I do lots of talks about risk factors like high blood pressure, diabetes and obesity. I also focus on early treatment for women because I have seen too many who have sat at home while having chest pain and never considered they could be having a heart attack.

I am married to a physician and we have four beautiful children. So, I wouldn’t say we have much “free time” but we do love to spend our time together going to the beach, having family movie nights and traveling. And yes, they receive lots of “talks” from me on leading a healthy lifestyle!
